The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the pre-liminary objection brought by Counsel to the Rivers State Governor Barr.Nyesom Wike seeking to dismiss the Petition brought by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in the April Governorship Election in Rivers State.

The Tribunal Chairman while delivering its judgement on the motion brought by Wike,rule that there is no provision in Law for petition to be dismissed over the failure of petitioners to pay a compulsory 100 filling Charge.
However following the Motion brought by Dr.Dakuku Petterside of the APC praying the court to Order INEC to tranport the electoral materials to Abuja,which will ease the inspection by the APC forensic experts,it now impossible for the APC to inspect the materials that were used.

The Tribunal is expected to rule on the motion seeking the relocation of electoral materials from Portharcourt to Abuja.
