A Human Right Group, Integrity Youth Alliance has berated an online news portal, News 24 for publishing false information about Hon. Rotimi Amaechi in respect of yesterday’s appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The attention of the Integrity Youth Alliance has been brought to the fictiouso write up by News 24 with the headline “Amaechi Angry with Buhari”. (http://www.news24.com.ng/Politics/News/Amaechi-angry-with-Buhari-20150828)

The write up said that “Former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, who was initially penciled down to become the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF)” We want to know if those faceless group behind News 24 were there when the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) post was offered to Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi?

Are they with Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi in his house to have said that “The former governor is still in shock for losing out to a less known name, Babachir David Lawal”?

Are they the one that escorted him to the airport to have said that “The governor was said to have jetted out of the country immediately the announcement was made”?

Did Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi sat them down or called them on phone for them to say “The governor was said to have jetted out of the country immediately the announcement was made”?

We know that this publication is the handy work of the Nyesom Wike propaganda team and that will not deter the President from giving what is due to Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi as at when due.
