Local Government Workers in Rivers State groan,as Wike denies them 3 Months Salary

Workers in the 23Local government in Rivers State are gnashing with their teeth’s following the refusal of the sacked Rivers State governor Barr.Nyesom Wike to release three months Salaries of the council workers.

Some of the workers who spoke to PUO REPORTS in portharcourt stated that since August till date,nothing has been paid to them as salary despite the huge amount of money the rivers State government had borrowed from banks in the state.

A particular worker working in Obio Akpor Local government Council who will not want his name to be mentioned on this platform due to fear of the unknown, said his two children school has not been paid,and one already in his final year in the university may miss  exams unless something better happens.

The President of the National Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE) in Rivers State Mr.Franklin Ajunwo is alleged to have taken bribe from governor Nyesom Wike in order to keep mute over the condition of members of the Union he Chairs in Rivers State

It will be recalled that the rivers state government under the leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike has after dissolving the 22 caretaker committee Chairmen he appointed immediately he was sworn as the governor of Rivers State,ever since,he has failed to called to call JAAC meeting.
