The Media And publicity committee of the Sylva/Igiri campaign organisation has accused thugs loyal to Bayelsa State governor Henry Seriake Dickson of being the masterminds of yesterdays attack on the members of the Bayelsa APC who were cleaning up the streets of Yenagoa.
In statement Released by the Director Of Media and Publicity of the SylvaIgiri Campaign Organisation Chief Natha Egba,the campain council accused the Bayelsa State incumbent Governor Seriake Dickson of directing his supporters to attack APC women and youths who were on a rescue mission to evacuate refuse at different dump sites in Yenagoa.
Egba was reacting to the reports credited to the media Director of the Bayelsa PDP campaign Organisation Hon. Jonathan Obuebite that APC members attacked the convoy of the Governor at Swali market .
Chief Nathan Egba, stated that everybody in Yenagoa knows that APC women came out by 7am yesterday clearing the rubbish dumps the Dickson administration had ignored over time. He said the Swali dump site was one of the places the women went to clear and the PDP only went there to disrupt the process.
“it was PDP thugs that have attacked our members and burnt one of the trucks the APC hired to transport refuse to the dump site at Tombia” he added.
He Also said that the APC Campaign organization had also received an information that another set of women and youths were attacked at Amarata while clearing the refuse. The statement said that the windscreen of the trucks were smashed and vehicle damaged by the rampaging PDP members.
