A former Rivers State Commissioner for Agriculture and Chieftain of All Progressives Congress,Dr Ndubuisi Adikema has congratulated the former Governor of Rivers State,Rt.Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi,CON on his appointment as a Minister of Transport of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The former commissioner in a press conference in Port Harcourt,said’I heartily congratulate our leader and pathfinder on his well deserved appointment as Minister of Transport in this trying period of our national life .
I have absolute no doubt that Amaechi will bring his characteristic touch of excellence to bear on the enormous task given to him,and with the same work ethic,commitment and dedication that signposted his incredible performance as Governor of Rivers State.’I have no doubt that Amaechi’s appointment will bring joy and relief to the Nigerian people and make the Transport Ministry a sector that all Nigerians will be proud of.
Hon.Adikema also commended the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,His Excellency,Muhammadu Buhari for finding Rt.Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi worthy to serve in a colossal strategic ministry in his administration and expressed optimism that he will find his Minister of Transport a trusted,capable and dependable lieutenant in his cabinet.
Meanwhile,the former commissioner has called on members of APC in Rivers State to start mobilising the people across all wards because a rerun is eminent in Rivers State,he noted that power belongs to the people and must be achieved through legitimate means by conducting a credible,free and fair elections .He expressed optimism that the Gubernatorial candidate of the APC,Dr Dakuku Adol Peterside will emerge the Governor of the state.
