Students Protest In Rivers State University over Fee Hike

Students of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology(RSUST) took to the streets of Porharcourt today to register their disapproval of the decision by the management of the institution to increase their school fees from N18,000 TO N80,000 naira.

Some of the protesters who were mostly  non indegenes told PUO REPORTS on telephone that the government of Barr.Nyesom Wike has shown no mercy and considerations to the poor students of the institution who are sponsoring themselves through linear Jobs.

PUO REPORTS Learnt that the Senate of the institution acting on instruction from the Rivers State government under the leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike had increased the tutition fee which was drastically reduced to N17,000 to N18,000 the immediate past administration of Chibuike Amaechi.

The New Vice Chancellor Prof.Blessing Didia,who was favoured by Governor Nyesom Wike has paid little or no attention to the complaints by students of the Rivers State university of Science and Technology
