The Peoples Democratic Party in Abia appears to be under serious fears, Tension over what they described as plot to Inaugurate Dr Alex Otti, the Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance who was declared winner of Abia governorship election by the Court of Appeal.
Some elders of the party led by a former President of the Senate during the second Republic Senator Adolphus Wagbara on Saturday during a massive protests over the outcome of the Appeal Court verdict vowed to resist the alleged move by what he Themed plots by some forces to Inaugurate Alex Otti As Abia State Governor on Monday.
PUO recalled that Justice Oyebisi Omoleye led five-member Appeal court panel had on Thursday 31st December 2015 ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to arrange the swearing in of Alex Otti as the duly elected Governor of Abia State on grounds that he won the April governorship election in the state.
We exclusively learnt that Okezie Ikpeazu and his lawyers is yet to get access to the certified True Copies Of the Appeal Court Judgement which ordered him to vacate office for Alex Otti.
The court was specific when it ruled that Okezie Ikpeazu of the PDP never won the governorship election in Abia and cannot be ascribed the title of a former Governor because he was occupying an office meant for another person.
