PORT HARCOURT: The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Ipalibo Banigo has described the Wednesday Supreme Court’s verdict that upheld the April 11th, victory of Chief Nyesom Wike as an end to distraction and a call to service.

Banigo said the judgement was a clear testimony of the mandate which the Rivers People wholeheartedly gave to the Governor of the state in the Election.

The Deputy Governor who stated these in a statement signed by her Press Secretary, Mr. Paul Damgbor, said with the Supreme Court affirming the election, that distractions from oppositions are over.

Banigo said the State Government was set to concentrate in delivering dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

Banigo commended the people of the State for their support and understanding while the matter was in court, adding that the administration would justify the collective will of people of the state.

She admonished the people to continue in their support for the administration, noting that Wike would move the State forward.
