Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu today donated N1Million to widows in Assemblies of God Nigeria No 123 Tenant Road in Aba Abia during the grand Finale of the Church Annual ZAM Jehovah Night Programme with the Theme “Much More which began on 2nd of March 2016.

Speaking from the book of Genesis 1: 26 on the Topic Christian Leadership,  Ikpeazu reminded believers of the need to lead in families, markets, churches and society with the fear of God as leadership was entrusted to man from creation.

Dr Okezie Ikpeazu said that one cannot lead without the fear of God and called on parents to institute good leadership in their families but regretted that parents now leave family leadership to their children, saying that it is uncalled for.

Ikpeazu stated that it takes love for one to be a good leader. He gave example of David, who, out of love defended his flock from lion and beer and Christ who came from heaven to save sinners.

The Governor used the opportunity to donate N1 million to the widows of the church and assured the church that he will provide them with a vehicle they requested.

In his address, the Senior Pastor and host, Rev. Ogboso Ejindu appreciated the ongoing road constructions, street lights and re-positioning of trade and commerce in Aba and said that the programme, which comes annually, witnesses miracles and draws people from many cities. He requested the Governor to help them get a Coaster Bus to ease their transport problem. The church presented a Bible and Governor’s portrait as well as prayed for him and Abia State govt.
