One of the three Reverend Fathers abducted by unknown gunmen in Kaduna last week, Reverend Iliya Anto has been reportedly found dead in custody of his abductors.

The other two Reverends Fathers; Reverend Dr. Emmanuel Dziggau and Reverend Yakubu Dzarma had regained their freedom.

It was gathered that Reverend Anto before his death was the Vice President of the United Church of Christ in Nigeria, known as HEKAN.

The General Secretary of the HEKAN, Reverend Jibrailu Wobiya who confirmed this to newsmen said the HEKAN President Reverend Emmanuel Dziggau and Retired Reverend Yakubu Dzarma were freed by their abductors Thursday evening and are now receiving treatment in an undisclosed Hospital in the state.

It would be recalled that the three HEKAN clergies were kidnapped by unknown gunmen at the Proposed HEKAN Theological Seminary Permanent Site along Kaduna – Abuja Road on Monday 21st March 2016 with the suspected kidnappers demanded N100 million ransom before they would release the clergies.

However, it was not clear as to whether a ransom was paid to secure their release or not.
