Senate leader Ali Ndume
The Senate leader, Ali Ndume, has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators not to play God.
He noted that God gave power to Bukola Saraki and He alone can remove the Senate president, if he is ever convicted by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
Vanguard reports that Ndume made a statement reacting to the position of some PDP senators that the opposition would produce Saraki’s successor if he is removed.
“PDP should not play God. It is God that gave power to Senate president Saraki and it is only God that can take it from him.
“Only God will know who will take it from him, not even a party, not even the PDP can do that, God knows who will take it from him, not PDP,” he said.
