Buhari To Wike : If Killings Continue, I will Declare A State of Emergency in Rivers State

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday talked tough to the Rivers State Governor Barrister Nyesom Wike over the continuous unchecked insecurity in his state.

President Muhammadu Buhari in closed door meeting with Governor Nyesom Wike yesterday at the Presidential Villa frowned at what he described as the plot to truncate the Implementation of the UNEP reports by sponsoring militancy in Ogoni Land.

Buhari said the continuous Arson and killings going on in Rivers State is a call for serious action by the Federal government which according to him if the state Governor fails to secure the lives and Properties of Rivers people, then the Federal Government will step in.

The meeting PUO REPORTS gathered was at the instance of President Muhammadu Buhari and it lasted for only 30 Minutes

Governor Nyesom Wike immediately after the meeting directed leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogoniland to go on AIR and condemn the insecurity in their Area.

“Let’s all, PDP and APC, come together and support the military to crush those who engage in killing people in Ogoni. Enough is enough.” — Sen Lee Maeba a former Senator from Ogoni condemed the killings in Ogoni and asked all to support the Nigerian Army in its efforts to arrest the situation

President Buhari also advised the Rivers State Governor not to attempt blackmailing the Nigerian Army
