Rivers Rerun: INEC Documents Shows Ossy Ideozu Of PDP Clearly won the Rivers West Senatorial District of March 19 2016

As Rivers People,Nigerians and the World at large await the final recommendations by the Prof Anthonia Simbine Committee which was set up by the Independent National Electoral Commission regarding the March 19th Rerun National and State Assembly Elections in Rivers,Documents obtained Exclusively by PUO REPORTS has shown that Senator Osinakachukwu Ideozu of the clearly won the Rivers West senatorial district rerun

INEC had after releasing only 5 State House of Assembly results,Suspended Further action on the election including Areas were Results were collated and declared by INEC returning officers

In a statement by INEC’s director, voter education and publicity, Mr Oluwole Osaze- Uzzi, the Commision said

“Having reviewed the situation, the Commission is compelled to suspend all further action concerning the exercise in all the other constituencies in the State pending the receipt of a comprehensive report from its Field Officials and Monitors.

 INEC  on the 30th of March 2016  released more results from the legislative re-run election held on the 19th of March in Rivers State.

In the result, PDP won three Federal House of Representatives seat and one State House of Assembly seat, while APC won one State House of Assembly seat.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Aniedi Ikoiwak announced Ken Chikere of the PDP winner of Port Harcourt Federal Constituency , Blessing Nsiegbe of the PDP was declared winner of Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2, while Okechuku Chinda also of the PDP was declared winner of Obio-Akpor Federal Constituency, defeating the former Chief of Staff to Rotimi Amaechi, Tony Okocha of the APC.

Aniedi Ikoiwak, while briefing the media said the candidate of the PDP in Akuku-Toru Constituency two, Tonye Alalibo was disqualified in compliance with the judgment of the Tribunal and the Court of Appeal following a pre-election matter.

“Having reviewed some of the issues, we have decided to make pronouncements on some results not declared but were collated. I want to say that details of the places where elections were not concluded are being worked out and will be made public in a latter date,” he said.

On the result of Degema State Constituency, Ikoiwak said the commission was still investigating, adding that the resolution of INEC will be communicated to the public.

From the latest update, INEC has so far released results of five Federal Constituencies and eleven State Constituencies from the re-run election.

The INEC Documents obtained by PUO REPORTS which showed Results of Five Collated and Declared Local Government Areas Results, Rt Hon Otelemaba Amachree got 26,034 Votes while Hon Osinakachukwu of the PDP got 79,814 Votes while Arch Bishop Boma Sampson of the Labour Party got 487 Votes

The Local Government Areas were INEC had conducted and collated results successfully  for Rivers West Senatorial District are Ahoada East,Ahoada West,Abua Odual,Ogba Egbema Ndoni and Akuko-Toru Local Government Area

The three Local Government remaining to complete the eight Local Government Areas that made up the Rivers West Senatorial District are Bonny, and Asari Toru Local Government Areas were the Commission announced a Suspension of the election and Degema Local Government Area

INEC cannot however conduct another election in Degema Local Government Area since they didn’t announce a cancellation. It’s only a tribunal that can cancel as it stands now.

  Prof Anthonia Simbine led Seven Member Commitee are to recommend to the Commision action to take regarding the March 19th Rerun in Rivers State
