The intimidation of journalists in Rivers State which was demonstrated a few days ago when the State government inspired and sponsored a frivolous petition against an On Air Personality [OAP] with the Nigeria Info 92.3 FM station in Port Harcourt, Mr. Kofi Bartels can be trace to the betrayal by the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in Rivers State Comrade Ayo Tamuno.

The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Rivers State had yesterday alerted the World over the ordeal by Porharcourt based Journalists in the hands of the Rivers State Government led by Chief Nyesom Wike
Kofi Bartels On Air Personality who wass born in Nigeria but his parents are of Ghanaian descent, was Interrogated by the Department Of State Security Services(DSS) on Wednesday 25th of May 2016 on grounds that there was a petition against him.
However,Investigation by PUO REPORTS has shown that Mr Kofi’s Ordeal can be traced to the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in Rivers State Comrade Ayo Tamuno who has been bought over by the Rivers State Government.
PUO REPORTS gathered that the State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service had on the 3rd of May Interrogated Mr Bartels on grounds that there was a petition written against him that his was a threat to the Security of Nigeria and that he was not a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists

A Source at the State Headquarters of the Nigerian Union of Journalist who spoke with PUO REPORTS on the Condition of anonymity revealed that its Chairman Comrade Ayo Tamuno wrote a Letter saying that Kofi Bartels was not a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalist,and that he is practicing Journalism Illegally.
It was gathered that the Rivers State Government apparently rattled by the level of engagement the Programme anchored by Mr Kofi HARD-FACTS has gotten,forwarded the Said Letter to both the Department of State Security Services and the Nigerian Immigration Service,Rivers State Command with the mandate silencing Mr Bartels
There is no Official Statement from the Nigerian Immigration Service and the Department of State Security Services on what offence Mr Bartel’s committed,but Information available to PUO REPORTS has shown that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State hates Criticims as evidently shown by the attempt to Intimidate Journalists in Portharcourt
The DSS has asked Mr Kofi Bartels to report back to its Office on Teusday May 30th 2016
