A housewife, Mrs. Fatimoh Olanrewaju who was said to had broken arm and legs of her step son, Iyanu Olarenwaju has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command.
Iyanu, 5 years old is currently on admission at Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta following the fracture he sustained while the suspect is now with the Anti-Human Trafficking Department of the Command.
The state Public Relations Officer of the Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed that suspect is in the custody of Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Department of the command on the order of Commissioner of Police.
According to him, the story is true and the stepmother has been arrested on Thursday and currently in our custody at Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Department.
The police spokesman added that, the suspect was still undergoing interrogation, and on completion she would be charge to court,to face the law.
Meanwhile, Iyanu’s mother was said to had divorced the father, Mr. Idowu about two years ago. Mr. Idowu Olarenwaju said he was surprised with what the wife did to the innocent boy.
