A chieftain of the PDP, Rufa’i Ahmed Alkali, has said that he has put experience of the botched Port Harcourt convention of the party behind him.

Alkali, a former political adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, had signified his interest to vie for the position of deputy national chairman (North) of the party at the cancelled convention,

Asked to state his next line of action, he said, that was “in the hands of God.”
Alkali, who spoke in Abuja, yesterday, added: ‎ “The development cannot give me sleepless nights as the ultimate decision resides with God, PDP leaders, delegates and not any faceless individual.‎

“My immediate concern now is to give members of the national caretaker committee support they need to restore the party to its past glory.”
