The Chairman of the Abia State Independent Electoral Commison Justice Igbozurike Akomas has stated that his Commission will not make use of Card Reader for the Conduct of the December 17th 2016 Local Government Election In Abia State.

The ABSIEC Boss stated this when he appeared Wednesday 28th September  at the Abia State House of Assembly.

The ABSIEC Boss who said the election will hold in 292 words In Abia State also said his Commission would make use of the Voters Register.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly Rt Hon Martin’s Azubuike drew the attention to the fact that the Abia State Local Government law number 9 of 2002 which ABSIEC said the December 17th 2016 Will hold had been repealed by the State House of Assembly.

The Speaker said the current Law relating to the Conduct of  Local Government Election is Law number 2 Of 2006 .

The ABSIEC  Boss appeared to brief the Abia State House of Assembly to brief the House on the Commission’s Preparedness to Conduct the December 17th 2016 election in Abia State .

But one thing confusing is that the Tenure of the Current ABSIEC boss will be ending on the 5th of October 2016 as he was appointed on the 5th of October 2011
