Ahead of the 2019 Governorship election in Abia State,the Peoples Democratic Partry(PDP) has given an automatic Governorship ticket to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
The State Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Sir Johnson Onuigbo who conveyed the decision of the Party Excos , exuded satisfaction that Governor Ikpeazu is, indeed, executing the laid-down programmes of the Party in Abia,hence deserves an automatic Ticket for 2019 Election.
The Partys decision came as Governor Okezie flagged Off the Construction of First ever Fly Over in Abia State to be sighted in Osisioma Junction in Aba.
The ceremony, which witnessed the presence of who is who in Abia State, was used by Governor Ikpeazu to reiterate his government’s determination to transform the Great Enyimba city of Aba to an industrial hub that would bring the best from the city in terms of internally generated revenue from which other parts of the state could be seamlessly developed
The State PDP Chairman Mr Johnson Onuigbo, called on members of the opposition parties in the State to come back to the Party and join the Governor in building a very viable and economically prosperous Abia State instead of wasting precious time and resources hitting their heads against the brick wall
