Keke Operators Goes On Strike In Bayelsa

Operators of Tricycles Popularly known as Keke Napep has gone on a one week Warning Strike In Bayelsa,PUO REPORTS gathered.

Bayelsa Residents woke up this Morning to find out that the Major Streets in the State has been deserted by Keke Operators

According to  a report made available to PUO REPORTS By a Keke Napep Operator who spoke on Condition of Anonymity, the reasons for the strike embarked upon by the tricycle operators  were because of high level of Tax imposed on them by the Bayelsa State Government.

It was gathered that the State Revenue Board had directed the Keke Operators to Pay: N6,000 for the numbering N11,000 for unified sticker by the state government and N20,000 for curtains by the state government and many more.

The Development did not go down well with the Keke Union Leaders who directed their members to embark on a one week warning Strike.

School Children,Civil and Public Servants were seen in Yenagoa this Morning Trekking to their various Destinations as a result of the Strike
