Abians, irrespective of political affiliation and sympathy, have been enjoined to pray for the success of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s led administration.

The call was made by renowned Evangelist, Rev. Umah Ukpai,  while speaking on Sunday, at the grand finale of ‘Glory Summit 2017,’ an annual conference organized by the Glorious Life Gospel Center (AKA Peculiar Peoples Ministries), Aba, under the leadership of Bishop Goddy Okafor.

Umah maintained that the only gift Abians can give to their Governor is prayers. He noted that ‘Prayers can transform Abia state and cause Aba to become the commercial capital of Nigeria.’

He urged Abians to pray for the hunger to always prophecy positively over Abia.

Reading from the book of Ezekiel 22:30, the clergyman said:

“There are things God cannot without us. All that the government of the day needs is prayer support from every believer in Abia state.

“We should stop accusing the Governor; blaming the Governor for everything that has gone wrong.

“What the governor needs is what we call ‘intercessory prayer,’ not ordinary prayer.

“I call on elders, Christian elders of Abia state to pray daily for the progress of Abia state.

“if this state will move forward, if the demon in Aba will vomit back to us the treasures God has deposited here, it will need everyone of us to pray, to rob ourselves of pleasures.

“Aba is a city of promise

 Umah thereafter called forth the Governor for prayers.

The Governor who was visibly emotional, said;

 “I want to state that am deeply crushed in the spirit. I want to thank you for your support.

“What has happened to me as a person and my experience, (pointing at Rev. Umah), he saw it before now, He knew it was going to happen. I feel very undeserving of God’s mercy and favours.

“If anyone had doubts before now that the hand of God is in what we are doing, I think that doubt should evaporate.

“I am prepared, I am determined and I will continue to hold unto God because he has shown many signs that he is capable of taking us to where Abia deserve to be.

“I can’t do it alone; I need your prayer support.”

Speaking earlier, Bishop Okafor urged the Governor not to relent in transforming the state, adding that Christians are praying for him.
