Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu Yesterday resumed his Thank You tour of the 17 Local Government Areas in Abia.
The Governor who began his Tour few Days after the May 12th Supreme Court Judgement which dismissed the Appeal filed by Dr Uche Ogah against the qualification of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu said he wants to thank Abians at the Grassroot for their unflagging support.
The Governor Completed the tour of Abia North Senatorial District of the State by visiting Isiukwuato,Ummunneochi and Bende Local Government Areas.
A large crowd of the good people of Bende LGA was on hand to receive Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his entourage as they arrived Bende town, headquarters of the Council this evening in continuation of the local government tour.
The people of Bende LGA led by the Council Chairman, Chief Gabriel Okereke Elendu pulled all the available stunts today to give Governor Ikpeazu a rousing welcome.
Bende sons who hold top positions in the Ikpeazu administration including the number four citizen and Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon Cosmos Ndukwe and Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Eme Okoro were on ground to ensure that things went well.
In Isiukwuato Local Government Area the Royal Fathers led by His Majesty, Eze Dr. Sir Ezo Ukandu, The Enyi Na Obiangwu of Imenyi, the Council Chairman, Chief Ifeanyi Udueze among other Top Politcal Leaders lead a mammoth crowd of Isiukwuato people to receive the Governor and his entourage .
In Ummuneochi Council Area, an impressive event held at the Council headquarters at Nkwoagu Isuochi, Council Chairman, Barrister Okey Igwe led traditional rulers, political stakeholders and the entire people of the area to receive the Governor and his entourage.
They thanked the Governor for appointing their son, Prof. Ezionye Eboh as Acting Rector of the Abia State Polytechnic ABA describing it as the first time an indigene of that area is getting such an appointment from the state government.
They also thanked the Governor for completing the massive road project at Isuochi which was done in collaboration with a son of the soil, Chief Chris Odinaka Igwe, CEO of the Chrisnak Group of Companies.
The Governor thanked them for keeping faith with his government in the last two years especially while the litigation lasted and told them he was there just to say thank you and to assure them that his government will ensure that development gets to every corner of the State.
Today, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s local government thank you visits will move to Ukwa East, Ukwa West and Ugwunagbo local government areas.
