The Rivers State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal Sitting in Apo Abuja today upheld the Election of the Lawmaker Representing Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency Hon Elder Chidi Whihioka.
The Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party Hon B.S Emerenwa had approach the Tribunal praying a Nullification of the December 10 Rerun National and State House of Assembly Election held in Rivers State on grounds that it was marred by Violence and Militarized by the All Progressive Congress.
It is ruling the Tribunal held that the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Failed to prove beyond Reasonable doubt the allegation of Irregularity and Militarization.
His Petition was Subsequently Dismissed for Lacking in Merit
It will be recalled that Elder Chidi Whihioka was recently removed by the Minister of Transportation as a Leader of the All Progressive Congress for piching allegiance to Senator Magnus Abe
