Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike yesterday organised a State Banquet for the Chief Of Army Staff Major General Tukur Buratai at the Government House Portharcourt.
The State Banquet may not be unconnected with measures by the Governor to corner the army Chief in a bid to avoid what happened during the 2016 National and State Assembly Rerun to repeat again in Rivers State come 2019.
It will be recalled that the Leader of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Rivers State and Minister of Transportation Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi had Hundreds of Soldiers around him during the 2016 State and National Assembly rerun election in the State.
