On 24/07/2017 at about 2205hrs along Milverton Area Aba,police patrol team attached to Central Police Station Aba while on routine patrol, intercepted one Obasi Chibuike putting on police bullet proof jacket and extorting motorists.
On sighting the patrol team, suspect fled the scene but was over-powered by the team. The following items were recovered from him during search: three live cartridges, one bullet proof, one jack knife and an International Passport.
The suspect has however, confessed to being a member of four man robbery gang terrorizing Aba and its environs. Effort is put in place toward arresting the other members of his gang as well as recovering their weapons.
