Buhari orders service chiefs to tackle IPOB and Boko Haram

President Muhammadu Buharihas directed the Service Chiefs to step up aimed at tackling the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)’s secret army, Boko Haram terrorists, kidnappers, and various other security threats plaguing the country.

According to Vanguard, the Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi Olonisakin, revealed that was the issue discussed at the closed-door meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Service Chiefs.

Recall President Buhari held a meeting with service chiefs in his office at his official residence yesterday.

Those present at the meeting include the Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar; and the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibot-Ete Ibas.

The who returned to Nigeria on Saturday, 19th of August, 2017 after spending 104 days in London on a medical vacation and then addressed the nation in a national broadcast on Monday where he vowed that the threat from Boko Haram in particular would be dealt a final blow.
