Catholic Priest Murder: Police Arrest Two Suspects In Imo

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of a catholic priest, Reverend Father Cyriacus Onunkwo.
Onunkwo was allegedly kidnapped by gunmen, last week Friday, from his vehicle in Orlu town, Orlu Local Government Area.
His body according to the Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Chris Ezike, was discovered the following day, in a bush in Omuma Village, Oru East Local Government Area.
Okorocha, who disclosed the report of the arrest while speaking at the Government House in Owerri on Wednesday, said that security operatives have arrested two suspects in connection with the crime.
He said, “The suspects are already making reasonable confession that can help police in further investigations,”
The Imo State Governor also assured residents of Imo State that the government has put in place adequate security of lives and property urging them to go about their lawful business without fear.
Governor Okorocha also condemned the numerous hate speeches and negative social media campaigns by some politicians noting that the government is committed to the growth and development of Imo State and making it a better place than he met it.
