Senator representing Abia north senatorial district senator Mao Ohuabunwa, has commenced empowerment programme for 500 Libya returnees and all youths in Abia north,
Speaking at the opening of the training programme, The SA to the senator Hon. Uche Okoli said the senator will continue to fulfil its promise to equip returnees with skills to fast-track their reintegration into the society.
He said the training for the 500 Libya returnees and the youths is being organized by the senator, The programme module include: poetry, casava, coconut oil and many more.
According to Hon.UCHE Okoli “The SA said the senator will continue to roll out several training programmes for the returnees to assist them resettle fully into the society, after their traumatic experience in Libya.
“The senator will provide start-up capital for the returnees and youths to begin their own small businesses and become employers of labour. The PDP Arochukwu party chairman Hon.Anthony Nwakwo urged the returnees and the youths to take the training programme seriously and exploit the opportunity to gain skills for improved livelihood.
“I am grateful to senator Mao A. Ohuabunwa for the effort he has made to resettle us.
