The Senator Representing Rivers South East Senatorial District Senator Magnus Abe has accused the Director General Of NIMASA Dr Dakuku Peterside of deliberately working with Organisers of Bori Rally to stop the Victory Thanksgiving Service of Lawmakers Elected on the Platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Rivers State.

Abe said despite the assurances of Dr Dakuku Adol Peterside that he will honour the Victory Thanksgiving Service, he was shocked to find out that Dr Dakuku Peterside was in Bori for the Inauguration of Free Rivers Movement

“I hate to make this public, but sometimes it is important that people know the truth.

“I was shocked this morning when a friend called me to accuse me of deliberately fixing #TheVictoryThankgiving on a day already fixed for a Free Rivers rally In Bori. He said he spoke with my brother Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside and Dr Peterside told him that they had already fixed their Free Rivers event for the 10th of February in Bori before he got my invitation”

“I did not just invite my brother, Dr. Peterside, I spoke with him and discussed #TheVictoryThanksgiving. He told me that he had a NIMASA event in Lagos on the 10th of February but he would do all he could to work around the event and honour our invitation”

“He never mentioned a Free Rivers event fixed for the 10th of February because there was none planned at the time we spoke. The Free Rivers event in Bori was hastily fixed for the 10th of February merely to showcase the power of man and to show to the world that Ogoni people are not with Senator Abe. Whether that succeeded or not is another story”

Continuing Abe said “The dilemma of my friend Dr. Peterside merely goes to show that no one is free in Free Rivers. If Dr. Peterside was one of the organizers of the Bori event then it was clearly done in bad faith because he had prior knowledge of the #TheVictoryThankgiving”.

“However we give God the glory that both events ended peacefully”. Abe Said
