Bloodshed: Adeboye, Lagos CAN To Hold Separate Prayer Sessions

GENERAL Overseer  of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and the Lagos State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, have scheduled separate national prayer sessions to avert further bloodshed in different parts of the country.

Adeboye According to Pastor Adeboye who is expected to take a break from series of activities culminating into his 76th birthday anniversary on March 2, the three-hour national prayer session is billed to hold at the Old Arena of the Redemption Camp today at 10.00 a.m. till 1.00 p.m. Announcing this at the Holy Ghost Service on Friday, February 2, Adeboye who led the large congregation made up of eminent politicians, traditional rulers, military personnel, businessmen and women from different parts of the globe, to pray some intercessory prayers on behalf of the nation, enjoined all public-spirited individuals who have the interest of Nigeria at heart, to join the ministry in praying for the peace of the nation. “One mistake that is common to both the enemies of God and the children of God is that both of them underrate the power of prayer.

The enemies of God underrate the power of prayer and we the children of God, underrate the power of prayer,” he stated. In another development, the chairman of Lagos CAN, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, enjoined  Nigerians to pray to stop the unabating killings by  herdsmen in parts of the country which have left several innocent Nigerians dead and others bereaved and homeless. Making the call during a press conference to announce its annual Inter-denominational Divine Service, tagged:

“Humility in service” on Saturday, February 17 at the ShepherdHill Methodist Church, Obanikoro in Lagos, Apostle Bamgbola said God’s intervention was needed to bring an end to the violent attacks.
