Senator Theodore Orji representing Abia Central has fired back at the 2015 governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance ( APGA), Dr. Alex Otti, saying the ex- Diamond boss lacked basic knowledge of the war.

Orji had through his Liaison Officer , Hon. Ifeanyi Umere threatened legal action against Otti for alleging that he ( Orji) at gun point forced the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) to alter the 2015 governorship election result in favour of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu.

But in a swift response, Otti through the Spokesman of his Campaign Organisation, Ferdinand Ekeoma, dared Orji to go to any court insisting that he stands by his allegation.

However, Orji fired back through Umere , describing Otti as a man with shallow knowledge of the law.

Below is a full text of the press statement issued by Umere:

“Alex otti’s press release – Another beguiling posture of the villain who lacks proper knowledge of the law:

“We have read a press release wherein one Ferdinand Ekeoma who by postulation is a spokesman to Dr Alex Otti the defeated flag bearer of APGA in the last gubernatorial election in Abia state coincided that his paymaster is evidently guilty of making insouciant and ceaseless accusations against Senator TA ORJI.

“I have said this before and I wouldn’t mind being repetitious in saying that idiocy is a contagious ailment, and i have seen proof. If you want to know what idiocy is, I mean 24-carat idiocy with first class honours, then come to Alex Otti’s faction of the All Progressive Grand Alliance . That is where people who are preordained to lose elections are predominantly experts in mouth pouting and making ceaseless accusations in order to continuously brainwash some groveling bootlickers under servitude to believe that they are something important and the best thing since sliced bread.

“To put the point straight, Alex Otti had through his spokesman singlehandedly indicted and inculpated TA ORJI of a conduct he best described as “CRIME” even without approaching any court of competent jurisdiction. In consonant with the aforestated factual instance as contained in his press release there is no gainsaying that Alex Otti lacks proper knowledge of the law.

“For instructive purposes, we have considered it wise and knowledgeable to lecture our dear Alex otti to save him from further and even prospective exhibition of uncalled daftness.
The phrase “CRIME” as used by you is a weighty word in Law, and I so much doubt if you took time to seek for legal advice so as to re-examine and double-check your facts to appreciate the full import of the word “CRIME” .

“A conduct could only be aggregated to or could be said to be a crime if it is prescribed in a written law such as the “CRIMINAL AND PENAL CODES ETC” . Such law must explicitly state the substances of the crime which must be proven neither on the balance of probability but beyond reasonable doubt.

“Dear Dr Alex Otti Which crime exactly are you making reference to and Which law provides for such crime? because in law no one is held criminally liable because of mere accusations, gossips and mouth pouting like you are currently doing.

“Distinguished Senator TA ORJI as the then Chief security officer of the state only visited the INEC headquarters to ask why results from Obingwa, Osisioma and Isiala Ngwa North Local councils were unlawfully cancelled in violation of the provisions Section (68) sub (1) paragraph (C) of the Electoral Act 2010.

“Although even hitherto I know that Alex Otti is still not aware that a REC has no powers to cancel election results hence his incessant exaggerations.

“Alex Otti’s improper and misuse of legal term beggars the question “What crime did Senator TA ORJI commit by visiting the INEC headquarters as an experienced INEC administrative officer to correct an error committed by the INEC REC?.
Ifeanyi umere.. Chief laison officer to senator TA Orji.”
