The National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, a die-hard Bukola Saraki’s ‘boy’ has moved out all his belongings from his office at the National Secretariat of the party ahead of defection.
Abdullahi and his aide Julius, were seen on Tuesday last week in the late night moving out all their property at the party house.
Bolaji Abdullahi who got re-elected during the recent national convention of APC is said to have made up his mind to sacrifice his office in support of his mentor Senate President Bukola Saraki. Recall that Bukola Saraki has always open door of appointment for Bolaji Abdullahi since he was governor of Kwara state where the Abdullahi served as Commissioner.
Our correspondent was also informed that so many journalists covering the party have been complaining that Mallam Abdullahi no longer pick their calls or respond to their enquirers.
Before now, some party leaders who have noticed the body language of Abdullahi toward defending the party had asked for his replacement.
One of the NWC members told some journalists that “Bolaji has not been active as APC spokesman. He has been closing his eyes on some of the attacks coming mainly from the People Democratic Party (PDP) and he has never reacted in defence of the party whenever former President Goodluck Jonathan attack APC.
“All these and many more we have noticed. We are in the know that he is no longer with us and we the NWC members are watching his steps keenly because we no longer believe in him,” the source said.
The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved the State Executive of the party in Kwara state over the reported plans by some members of the party to join another party.
In a resolution signed by the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni, the party said a caretaker committee led by Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa shall be appointed to head the state Executive Committee of the party in the state while caretaker committees will be constituted in the wards and Local Government Areas.
