In the light of the recent political joke and the attempt at provoking the supporters of the distinguished Senator (Dr) John James Akpanudoedehe (JJA) to react spontaneously to the unfortunate publishing of a fictitious lists of members of the executive committees for the ward and local government area chapters in the State, the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party has done well in officially refuting the erroneous publication, and going on to publish the first part of the authentic lists of members of the executive committee of the party for the different ward and local government area chapters of the party in the state.
It is now clear how those who cause the fictitious lists of “exco members” to be published intentionally effected their plan to cause disaffection amongst party members on the same day that Senator (Dr) Akpanudoedehe was at the national headquarters of the APC for his nomination/express of interest forms in Abuja. This was disingenuous.
It is usually heard amongst the leaders of the APC in Akwa Ibom State that the “APC in Akwa Ibom State is ‘ONE'”. This article calls to put a blatant lie to that statement, especially if comes from the lips of Obong (Dr) Nsima Udo Ekere and his political gang of trouble makers, amongst whom are members of the state working committee.
The actions and behaviour of the patrons of the Nsima Ekere’s “ONE Project”, who are the ones principally responsible for the endless endorsements of Dr Nsima Udo Ekere, by their calls for him to concede his managing directorship of the Niger Delta interventionist outfit, the NDDC, an agency of the federal government, to free himself to allow him jump into the ring to contend with other APC aspirants for the governorship race for Akwa Ibom State.
It is therefore a false statement and a blatant lie on the lips of the supporters of Dr Nsima Ekere when they claim that “APC in Akwa Ibom State is ‘ONE'” when they are the clear promoters of division and disaffection in the party in the state. Instead of working for the unity and cohesion of party men and women, the “ONE” group has been building hurdles and stumbling blocks on the path of genuine party constructions for positive goals.
Their claims to the unity of the APC in our state will always be a statement of deceit on their lips, because it is a naked lie to insinuate that the APC in Akwa Ibom State is “Obong Nsima Ekere”. Nigerians must get this right. If there is any truth to Obong Ekere’s present situation, he is just one amongst whom were privileged to reap on the same grounds where Senator (Dr) Akpanudoedehe singlehandedly sowed bountifully for the stabilization of the opposition parties in Akwa Ibom State, losing his personal freedom and the lives of a good number of his supporters. To use this reaping to foment trouble for supporters of Dr Akpanudoedehe is criminal, insensitive and callous.
The “ONE Project” is designed to hide its reference to “Obong Nsima Ekere (ONE) Project”. So when anyone hears Dr Ekere raise his index finger next time and say “APC in Akwa Ibom State ‘ONE'”, understand that he means that there is no APC in Akwa Ibom State safe for Obong Nsima Ekere and this is a big lie. Every stakeholder of the APC in Akwa Ibom State knows that this allusion, which is gaining false ground, is a diabolic way the Nsima Ekere group have unclinically adopted to make innocent people make them thick and unencumbered.
But today this spiritual hypnotism stops with this spiritual revelation. The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State in indeed one house and, a good and a happy family, which paid agents of the NDDC boss are putting resources in to destroy because they are afraid that the ” EKEMINI” mansard will send them on political retirement once it is realized. However, it is said that amongst every 12, there is always a Judas Iscariot: there will always be one man who betrays, another man who denies and many other men who would desert.
I may exonerate His Excellency Obong Nsima Ekere from the diabolic political manipulations of his supporters, many of whom follow after him for pecuniary benefits: he may not be aware of how their acts and reacts throw him up as “the troubler” of the APC in Akwa Ibom State.
His personal aides have seemingly compromised some members of the State Working Committee (SWC) and because he (Nsima Ekere) readily spends for them in the name of the party in the state, as statutorily expected in political circles, these party officials seemed carried away by the filthy lucre they pocket as excess, and think that this should give Dr Ekere special consideration for pursuing a governorship interest he is yet to declare, even when he has less than 2 weeks (and he is legally Anderson any cause public technically unqualified) to contest for the governorship nomination of the APC in the state.
Based on the facts above, it is a very wise decision to call the attention of Obong Nsima Ekere to the way those who perch and feast on him, for what he can dole out, are going about behaving as thugs and marauders. He must know of how it is claimed that he colluded with the oust national chairman of the party, Chief John O Oyegun to unilaterally change the lists of members ratified and affirmed as executive committee members for the ward and local government area chapters in the state at the statewide congresses that held on 5 and 12 of May 2018, unleashing a list of strange fellows on the party in the state.
If this is true, then it was an act of political desperation, the kind that got Bukola Saraki to become senate president of the 8th Senate, and it is hope that such acts in our politics would be discouraged by being penalised after all. It is rumoured that Obong Nsima Ekere procured the lists of the fake officers of the party published from the Oyegun days and paid for its anonymous publishing on 5 September 2018. How can anyone conceive such wickedness to cause a riot in a state?
If it could come into the thoughts of Obong Nsima Ekere to lobby Chief Oyegun to singlehandedly change the decision of the entire members of the APC in Akwa Ibom State, it is important that the national leadership of the party calls him to order and warns him of the consequence of been found working to tear down the cohesion presently enjoyed by the party in the state.
If Dr Ekere intends to run for the governorship of Akwa Ibom State, he needs to, first and foremost, resign from his assignment as Managing Director of the NDDC to pick up his nomination/express of interest forms, not by his remaining in office and employing the paraphernalia therefrom to fuel disaffection in the APC in Akwa Ibom State.
Finally, it must be stressed that the security agencies in Akwa Ibom State must, as a matter of gross national interest, investigate the publication of the fake lists of “exco members” for segments of the State and prosecute same for instigating and inciting the public to violence and insurrection. A good beginning leads to a better finishing. Bloodshed in Akwa Ibom State during the oncoming 2019 general elections must be checked and averted inside out.
