Rev Isaac Igwe Elected New Igede District Superintendent

Rev Isaac Igwe has been elected As the New Igede District Superintendent.

His Election took place today at Assemblies Of God Church Secretariat Road Oju Igede Benue State at the end of a Two Days Special Revival Meeting of Pastors, Pastors Wives and Deacons of Igede District with the Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria.

It will be recalled that the Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria had in February 2018 Postponed and later canceled the 2018 Triennial Council meeting of the District and set a Caretaker Committee to Administer the District.

The Meeting which was Presided over by the General Superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor had in attendance the General Secretary of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Godwin Amaowoh, Executive Committee Member of the Zone Rev Agev among others.

The Election which was unannounced was Conducted after the Message of the General Secretary.

“Executive Committee does not Take Decision based on Rumour and Suspicion, we take Decision based on Facts”

“I don’t Think there is a better Time to Select Leaders of Igede District if not in this Type of Spiritual Atmosphere” the GS said before the Commencement of the Election.

The General Superintendent  Addressed the District on The Decisions of the Executive concerning issues in the District which led to the Postponement.

There were Total Number of 335 Eligible Voters out of which Rev Isaac Igwe polled 232 to be Elected the New District Superintendent of Igede District as the Second Elective Ballot.

Rev Josiah Igbudu was Elected as the New Assistant District Superintendent, Rev Sunday Ola was Elected New District Secretary, Rev Gabriel Uko As Treasurer while the Presbytery election is ongoing
