As the 2019 Political activities gathers momentum, the Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is under Pressure to drop his Deputy RT Hon Ude Oko Chukwu as 2019 Running Mate, PUO REPORTS has learnt.
According to a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ohafia Local Government Area who spoke to PUO REPORTS on condition of anonymity, the Stakeholders in Ohafia Local Government Area are worried that RT Hon Ude Oko Chukwu the Deputy Governor of Abia State has lost control of the Structures of the Party in his NKPORO Community .
It was gathered that the Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party exposed the fact that the Deputy Governor is no longer in control of the affairs of the Party in his Community.
Some of his Loyalists including the immediate Past General Manager of Abia State Road Maintenance Agency(ABROMA) Hon Ndukwe Agu Orji all left the Peoples Democratic Party For the All Progressive Congress owing to the autocratic acts of the Abia Deputy Governor .
Our Correspondent gathered that the Deputy Governor who is in the know of the Pressure on the Governor have Started a last minute reconciliation meetings and apologise to Stakeholders of the Party in Ohafia Local Government Area and his NKPORO brothers.
On Sunday the Deputy Governor was spotted at the home of a Former Member who Represented Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency Hon Prince Arua Arunsi where it was gathered he apologized to the Former Lawmaker .
Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is yet to come up with a final decision over the choice of his Deputy for 2019, although some Top Leaders of the Party are urging the Governor to drop the Ideal of Changing his Deputy who they said has shown Loyalty for the Last three Years
