Rivers APC Legal Tussle: Federal High Court Adjourn To December 11th For Definite Hearing

A federal high court in Port Harcourt has adjourned to December 11th 2018 for definite hearing on case brought by Sen Magnus Abe and other products of direct primaries.

Sen Magnus Abe and all candidates who emerged through direct primaries are praying to be declared the validly nominated candidates of APC for 2019 gubernatorial elections in the state.

When the case came up for hearing today, Tonye Cole through his counsel Barr Tuduru Ede had brought an application seeking to be joined as interested party in the matter.

In the originating processes, the matter was instituted by Sen Magnus Abe and ORS as plaintiff, Vs APC and INEC as respondents.

The court in its ruling urged all seeking to be joined as interested party in the matter to file and serve their applications within 24hrs (tomorrow Friday 7th December 2018), and for the respondents to respond on or before Monday December 10th 2018.

The court adjourned to December 11th 2018 to entertain all pending applications and for definite hearing on the substantive matter.
