The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD has dissolved the Sixth Abia State House of Assembly, effective from the 7th of June 2019.
A Statement by Barr Onyebuchi Ememanka,Chief Press Secretary to the Governor said the Governor also issued a PROCLAMATION, as appropriate, for the holding of the First Session of the Seventh Abia State House of Assembly on Monday, 10th June, 2019.
The Statement Further said the Governor acted Pursuant to the Powers Vested on him by the 1999 Constitution.
“Governor Ikpeazu acted pursuant to the powers bestowed upon him by Section 105, Subsection 3 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended and all powers enabling him in that behalf”
