The Nigerian Senate has resolved to asked to ask the Governor Of Edo State Godwin Obaseki to issue a fresh proclamation for the Inauguration of the 7th Edo State House of Assembly.
The resolution of the Senate followed a Presentation of the report of the Senate Adhoc Committee set up by the Senate on the 10th July to Investigate Circumstances surrounding the Purported Inauguration of the Edo State House of Assembly on the 17th of July.
The Senate Leader amended the Prayers that the Senate should wait for one week against the three Weeks as resolved by the Committee before invoking relevant Sections to take over the Edo State House of Assembly.
The Senate urged the Edo State Governor to Issue a Fresh Proclamation for the Inauguration of the 7th Edo State House of Assembly.
