Following the wave of killings in the North especially the northeast and northwest regions due to resurgence in banditry, some concerned youths under the coalition of Northern groups are again staging a protest in the katsina state capital.
The protesters mainly youths comprising 6 different arewa groups were seen chanting anti-government songs saying they are tired of incessant attacks and killings by bandits.
The protesters who were seen carrying different placards and a large banner reading ” stop the blood shed, #enough of the reckless killings, enough of the bloodbath” took to the major streets in the metropolis to register their displeasure.
They are also seeking an end to the killings accusing government of failure to protect lives and property.
The youths called for immediate action by the president muhammadu Buhari led federal government to enable the populace live in peace.
