Speaker of Abia State, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has commiserated with his colleague at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Mandela Obasi, at the burial of his father, Chief Ochuru Egwuronu Obasi today in Amaeke Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The Speaker while eulogising the virtues of the Late patriarch, said the large crowd that turned up for the funeral was a sign that he lived a life that greatly impacted the people positively. As a man of peace who brought up his children to become greatly responsible members of the society, the Speaker urged the children and other members of the immediate family to ensure they do not allow the virtues which their farther bequeathed to them to fade away.
“We are all witnesses to how your father lived his life. It is my sincerest wish that you all continue in that line and do not allow his virtues to go with him”, the Speaker said.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Chief Ochuru Obasi, the Speaker requested God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
