Gov. Ikpeazu launches Abia State long term development plan

On Thursday, the Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie lkpeazu, said the 30 years Abia State Long Term Development Plan (ABSLTDP) 2020 – 2050, will offer a blueprint to sustainable economic growth and development in governance for succeeding administrations for many years to come.

lkpeazu made this known during the launch and public presentation of Abia State Long Term Development Plan in Umuahia.

Ikpeazu who was represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, explained that if the development plan is seriously followed and sustained by subsequent administrations, the State will be a centre of attraction and a reference point for other States yet to key into such programme.

He also commended the State Planning Commission for collaborating with the Partnership Initiatives in Niger Delta (PIND) and other development agencies to ensure the successful take off of the programme.

Ikpeazu also reassured residents of the state that government will do everything in its power to ensure its successful implementation and legislation which will be incorporated into every sector of the State.

Also speaking, Mr Chris Ezem, Secretary to the State Government, said the launch of the ASLTDP in the State is a milestone achievement and he thanked everyone that made the program a reality.
