The Chief Judge who warned the people of the community against inducing the Area Court Judge and other officers described the court as synonymous to development and bringing of justice close to the people.

“Court is synonymous to development. A court is synonymous to the presence of government and as far as we are concerned, Courts also bring justice closer to the people” he stated.

He called on the community to sustain the course of justice in their domain by giving their support in the area of security, maintenance and show of love to the Area Court judge and other supporting staff.

He also charged the officials of the court to dispense justice without fear or favour and urged them to always be guided by the constitution and fear of the Almighty God.

Justice Olorunfemi who was sworn in as the Acting Chief Judge in March 2021 commended the facilitator of the court, Justice Yunusa Musa, for the love and care for his people, noting that within six months the jurist facilitated two courts, the Itobe Magistrate Court and Adumu Area Court all at Itobe district to his people.

Earlier, Justice Yunusa Musa in his welcome address, disclosed that the community in the last 30 years put a request for the establishment of the court, but the paucity of funds delayed it, noting that the realization of the request in 2021 will no doubt bring justice to the community.

“We are grateful to the Acting Chief Judge for this rare gesture and we promised to provide security for the officials of the Area Court,” he said.

The traditional ruler and the Ochabe of Adumu community Dr Yunusa Ali pledged the support of his community in ensuring that the court and the officials are safe at all times.
