At Harvest Thanksgiving Service, Abia Speaker Empowers Unemployed Worshipper on Wheelchair

The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji earlier today attended the Annual General Harvest and Thanksgiving Service of Saint John’s Methodist Church, Ameke Afaranta Ibeku.

Speaking at the Service, the Speaker said he was elated to worship in the church as they celebrate their Annual General Harvest/Thanksgiving Service tagged Harvest of Restoration

The Speaker explained to the congregation the need for one to always thank and give to God saying anything given to God is an everlasting investment which attracts unprecedented blessings. He therefore congratulated Very Rev Uzoma Promise Ogbodo, the Presbyter of the church and the entire congregation on the occasion of the Harvest.

While speaking, the Speaker observed that church’s band leader, Mr Vincent Nwabuisi, the band leader was sitting on a wheelchair, he approached and asked him what he does for a living to which Mr Nwabuisi responded that he has been unemployed.

The Speaker therefore requested an Elder in the church to get the full details of Mr Vincent Nwabuisi to him tomorrow for immediate action to get him off the unemployment status.

The Speaker also promised to assist the church financially to boost their already established piggery farm.

The church presented an award as “The Kingdom Builder” to Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji.

Mrs Nkechi Victor Ikpeazu PhD, Wife of the Governor of Abia State was ably represented by Lady Eunice Obike at the Thanksgiving service.
