Ikpeazu receives Presidential delegation who are in Abia for Eze Ikonne 93rd Birthday

Earlier today, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu received a Presidential delegation today at Umuobiakwa, his Country Home.

The delegation which was led by the Honorable Minister for Labor and Employment, Senator Dr Chris Ngige is in Abia State to attend the 93rd birthday celebration of His Imperial Majesty, Eze Dr. Isaac Ajuonu Ikonne, the Enyi 1 of Aba.

Senator Ngige is representing President Muhammadu Buhari at the event and in line with official protocols, the delegation came to pay homage to the Governor before proceeding to the venue of the event.

The delegation also includes the Deputy Governor of Imo State,Professor Placid Njoku, Senator representing Imo North, Senator Frank Ibezim, Honorable Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, Honorable Minister of State for Education, Chief Emeka Nwajiuba, Chairman of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Chief Elias Mbam, Chief Sam Nkire, etc.

Governor Ikpeazu welcomed them to the State and wished them safe stay in the State. He also wished the Royal Father a happy 93rd birthday.

Eze Isaac Ikonne is the father of Prince Paul Ikonne, the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Lands Development Agency (NALDA).

The Governor then handed the delegation over to the Secretary to the Government of Abia State, Barrister Chris Ezem who will accompany them to the event.
