“Mauricio Pochettino links? I’m not going to get involved in any future manager talk because it’s all speculation as you say. Simple as that,” Frank Lampard said in his press conference for the game against Brentford.
The caretaker manager reiterated that Chelsea still have a lot to play for and must stay focused as the season is not over.
“Season over? I’m the manager of Chelsea, I have a big link to this club and pride, so should the players. For my route, it’s absolutely not over.”
With eight games left to play, Chelsea could still qualify for a European competition next season if they win all their remaining matches. However, that looks highly unlikely as they’ve lost their first four matches under Lampard.
