The Abia State Governor elect Dr Alex Otti has come under severe criticism fro being in a hurry to assume duty as the Executive Governor of Abia State.
Otti who announced on Wednesday that he was leading construction giant Julius Berger to inspect Portharcourt road was asked by Abians to excercise patient till May 29 2023 as the tenure of the incumbent Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has not elapsed.
An Abian, Mr Chukwu Eleke advised Otti to allow his Transition team to laise with the current administration and wait till May 29 for his term to commence.
“In as much as i have always wanted a regime change in Abia State and also thanked God that He brought up Dr Alex Otti to it.
“But this recent development by the incoming government is totally uncalled for because there’s a sitting government in place”
“He should relax and allow his transition team to continue to liaise with the government in place.
“By May 29th, his own government will kick off and he will have all the time to do every road inspections and other projects for the benefit of Ndi Abia” he said.
