There is an unusual presence of officers of the Nigerian Police Force at the entrance gate of the Abia State House of Assembly.
The Police armoured personnel carrier and two other Police Hilux van were also sighted by our correspondent on Sunday evening at the entrance gate of the Abia State House of Assembly.
It was not clear what led to such an unusual presence of police officers on a sunday, it will be recalled that the Abia State House of had on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 Suspended it’s Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Ifeanyi Uchendu and 8 other lawmakers who attempted a failed impeachment plot on the Speaker Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji.
The House is expected to resume this week for legislative business.
