Abia State Governor Dr Alex Otti has come under attack for not carryout background check before issuing appointment to some of his supporters and followers.
PUO reports gathered that Mr Chimezie Okigbo who was appointed and sworn in as the Special Adviser to Governor Alex Otti on Internally generated revenue was indicted for fraud and diversion of revenue funds in Anambra State by the State Government.
He was investigated over his fraudulent activities and it was established that he diverted the POS revenue which he introduced into the state.
Governor Alex Otti has been advised to save his image and rescind the appointment.
