Executive Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti has secretly directed the Directors of Finance in the various Ministeries, Department and Agencies of the Abia State Government to stay action on the command promotion approved by the immediate past Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, PUO reports has exclusively learnt.
PUO reports recalls that Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu had in March approved a command promotion for all the civil servants both in the state and Local Government Area.
It was gathered that approval which came with a circular from the office of the Head of Service in Abia State had already been effected on the Salary schedule of the civil servants before the latest directives of the new Governor .
A source who spoke to our correspondent from one the Ministeries on condition of anonymity confirmed the development and said some permanent secretaries are insisting to see a new circular to that regard as they were given circular when the command promotion was approved.
It was also gathered that the development is what is delaying the payment of Salaries by the Abia State Government.
