Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, has expressed his deep gratitude to Abians for their solidarity, support and prayers during the burial of his late wife, Lady Barrister Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa.
The late Lady Ohuabunwa who died in July was buried recently at Ohuabunwa’s Atani Arochukwu country home.
Senator Ohuabunwa, in a statement he personally signed, commended Gov. Alex Otti and members of the State Executive Council; former Governors Okezie Ikpeazu, and Senator Theodore Orji; the good people of Abia North senatorial district; Abia Elders and Leaders in different categories; Ndi Abia; and Aro sons and daughters for their solidarity and massive support during the family’s moment of grief.
Using HRM Eze Linus Nto Mba (Eze Linto); Eze Aro in Council and Ezeogo Atani, HRH Mazi Charles Kanu, as points of contact, Ohuabunwa commended the traditional institution for their encouragements and esteemed presence at burial.
Equally using the Abia State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere, as a point of contact, Senator Ohuabunwa thanked all PDP Leaders and members, as well as members of various political parties who made out time to visit and identify with the family.
He also commended the Anglican Archbishop of Aba; Bishop of Arochukwu/Ohafia Diocese, Bishop Johnson Onuoha; Bishop Sunday Onuoha of the Methodist Church and other clerics for their affection, prayers and support.
Senator Ohuabunwa further appreciated Anglican Knights and Ladies as well as the entire Anglican Communion for identifying with his family during the period of their bereavement.
The former Leader, ECOWAS Parliament equally appreciated the Committee of friends and members of the Follow Better Organization as well as friends and well wishers of the family for their massive support.
He further appreciated the solidarity by various groups, professional bodies and associations during the period.
Senator Ohuabunwa prayed God to bless all those who in one way or the other identified with the family during their trying period.
