Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker for Al Nassr, has decided to extend his contract with the team, making him the “highest-paid player in history,” according to Goal.

Ronaldo is reportedly on the verge of signing a contract for £173 million a season.

The current contract of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is scheduled to expire in the summer.

However, it seems Ronaldo is open to playing with Al Nassr going forward.

The 39-year-old has been connected to a number of teams, including Al-Hilal, the current home of Neymar Jr.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, is allegedly more interested in competing with them than representing them.

Now, Ronaldo wants guarantees that Al Nassr would make significant summer transfer window purchases.

In 90 games with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has scored 81 goals.

At his former clubs, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, he has already achieved a century in the goal department.
